Manaslu Bottle House is a children home located in Thumi VDC, Swaragaun, Gorkha. It takes 4-5 hours on foot from Aarkhet, a starting point of the famous Manaslu trekking route.
The home was established to nurture children of the local community so they can serve their own community. Around 30,000 bottles were collected and brought to Thumi by mules. German students volunteered for construction after the April 2015 earthquake.
Manaslu bottle house currently has 14 children and capacity for 30. Children are supported with food, school fees, clothing and other expenses.
